2010 Annual March-A-Thon

This year's March-A-Thon is fast approaching.
Saturday, September 18th 9am-12pm!

Please help your student collect pledges/donations from family, friends and local businesses to help KCHS Band reach their fundraising goal for this marching season and beyond.  San Antonio is in our sights!!

Each student is asked to collect a minimum of $100.  Local businesses will be shown as sponsors for this event on our website and on the student during the March-A-Thon.

Ultimate Recycling fundraiser

September 18, 2010 9a-12p in the circle drive at the school.

New Items - clothing and toys.

Additional items not on the list - TVs, all sizes.

 
Description of volunteer positions

Description of volunteer positions

General:

                General labor for fundraising and events

Bus Chaperone:

Rides buses to and from football games and local competitions

Extra eyes for band director(s) to ensure safety and timing is met

Ensures uniforms are complete (ie. Black socks, plumes, guard uniforms are correct)

Picks up flipbooks during halftime show

Ensures busses are cleaned

Band is watered during events

Assists in feeding the band at competitions and when necessary

Other duties as assigned from band director via coordinator

Pit Dads:

Load/unload trucks for games/competitions/events where trucks are carrying equipment

Assist in getting pit and drum major podiums in place for all shows

Truck driver:     

Drives trucks to events and helps with pit dad duties

Concession (football games):

Works in the visiting concession stand for home games. Currently there is no cooking.  General cleaning, passing food, and dealing with the public.

Concession:

Work concession events, ie. Texas Motor Speedway, TCU, concerts, other events          

Feed the band:

Feeds the band before all games, and competitions (with assistance from chaperones)

Ticket Takers:   

Works the gates of KISD stadium for home games.

Uniforms:

Works to make sure uniforms fit and are clean for band.

 

 
How does the booster fundraising help our students?

Do you know what the Central High School Band Booster Association provides to the band in the 2010/2011 school year?  Here is a short list of high level things:

Food/Refreshments for all games/competitions

Scholarships

Private lesson scholarships

Additional Instructor fees

We need all the help we can get in our fundraising efforts to make sure that our students are fed and educated.  We need your skills and talents.
